About the office

Campus Infrastructure and Facilities deliver comprehensive property and facilities management operations to the University community by using integrated systems and services to support the University’s teaching and learning, research endeavours and strategic objectives.
 
About the role

The Campus Operations Assistant is a key member of the Campus Infrastructure and Facilities team. This role will be responsible for assisting in the timely provision of logistical support and day-to-day services across the relevant Campus to ensure the effective operation of the University.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists the Maintenance Supervisor in carrying out basic general maintenance of buildings, plants and grounds.
  • Assists in the effective and timely provision of services across the campus including waste and recycling, mail and deliveries, office and furniture set up and relocation.
  • Ensuring venues are set up for functions and events.
  • Maintaining daily schedules and standards, supporting a safety culture focus.

Qualifications, skills & experience

  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of WHS and procedures.
  • Experience in grounds maintenance including using equipment such as ride on mowers, hedge trimming, whipper snipper, blowers etc.
  • Must have drivers’ licence (for site ute, campus 12-seater bus and new golf buggy coming).
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing facility management environment and possess the willingness to work collaboratively.
  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Friendly and professional approach to customer service.
